Why Another Way?

Dayvid

I was born in the church and have been active all my life, in one way or another, in church leadership. However, as the world is moving into post-modernity, many of us are looking for new meaning in our lives. Maybe we were a bit uncomfortable with the rules. Or maybe our spirituality didn’t quite fit what was expected or handed down to us.

For many years I’ve been listening to people as they shared how they’ve been “hurt by the church;” people who are intensely aware of their spiritual selves. I keep entertaining the question of what it would look like to journey with others in “another way” to discover our spiritual selves. This question still hasn’t been answered, and I’m still wandering.

My experience with the Creativity of the Creator empowers me toward newness of spirit. I wonder if through our own work as artists, musicians, poets, writers, dancers, photographers, etc., the Creator God is revealed.

I invite you wander with me as we wonder together on our own spiritual journeys, discovering another way to experience the One Who Creates.

Peace,

Dayvid Graybill
